June 3: Come, listen, and relax to the music of the Gunny Sack Revue. Starts at 7 pm. This local group of musicians play bluegrass & Gospel. Bring an instrument and join in the weekly jam at the Gazebo Annex, downtown Arthur.

June 5: Strawberry Jam. This is a new name for our annual spring festival. You will find bargains for the whole family, craft show, flea market, commercial & food vendors. Plus children's games. June 6: Strawberry Jam. This is a new name for our annual spring festival. You will find bargains for the whole family, craft show, flea market, commercial & food vendors. Plus children's games. More activities are in the works. 10 am to 5 pm. daily. Sponsored in part by the Arthur Area Association of Commerce. Downtown Arthur.

         Blue Grass Jam. This new 'free' acoustic jam event is part of the Strawberry Jam. Arthur once again welcomes bluegrass players to gather to 'Pick, Grin & Jam' all over downtown. Bring an acoustic instrument & join in or a lawn chair to relax and enjoy the music. Bluegrass players, there is no entry fee. Also bluegrass players be sure to sign in at the Strawberry Jam tent for food coupons and raffle tickets. Sponsored in part by the Arthur Area Association of Commerce. Location: Downtown Arthur.

         Strawberry Social and all day bake sale. Fresh strawberry shortcake, strawberry pie whole or by the slice. Butterfly pork chop sandwich served from 11 am to 1 pm and 4 to 8 pm. Mini auction at 6 pm. Otto Center located ½ mile south of Arthur.

June 27: Arthur's Freedom Celebration. Beginning at 4 pm there are helicopter rides, free t-shirt toss, powered parachutes, WWII aircraft flyover, sky divers, inflatable rides, and food stands. Then at 9:30 pm the Largest Fireworks Display in Central Illinois. Sponsored by the Arthur Rotary Club. Jurgens Park on the south edge of Arthur.  Rain Date June 28th.

            Arthur Sale Barn - Machinery Sale, ½ mile north of Arthur.

            Fourth of July Parade. The Doris Carmen Memorial 4th of July Parade steps-off at 10 am from Jurgens Park and makes a trek through the streets of Arthur as well as going through downtown. This parade consistently has over 100 entries year after year lasting well over an hour from start to finish. Sponsored by the Village of Arthur and the Arthur Area Association of Commerce.

            Volks Walk 10-K. A 10K walk beginning at Jurgens Park, (Moultrie-Douglas Fairgrounds) in Arthur on a marked trail includes being in the Fourth of July Parade. Starts at 8 am and finished by 2 pm. Sponsored by Kountry Walkers. For more information call 217-543-2299.

September 4-7: 29th Annual State Bank of Arthur sponsored Men’s Slow Pitch Softball Tournament. 20 teams gather for this annual men’s slow pitch softball tourney each year. Jurgens Park, south edge of Arthur.

September 5: Arthur Volunteer Fireman Pancake & Sausage Breakfast from 6 to 11am, West Route 133. This annual event is a great starter to the Arthur Cheese Festival held Labor Day Weekend. $

               Arthur Sale Barn - Machinery Sale, ½ mile north of Arthur.

               37th Annual Arthur Cheese Festival. Opening day of three fun-filled days with lots to do for the whole family, Cheese sliced from huge wheels with crackers provides a free snack sandwich. National Cheese Curling Contest, Cheese Eating Contest, sidewalk sales, entertainment, kid’s games, car show, inflatable rides and food and craft vendors. Call for a complete schedule of events. March 27: Semi-Annual Consignment Sale. Starts at 8 am. Antique and modern furniture. Miscellaneous items, buggies, lumber and building materials, farm machinery, lawn and garden. 7 auction rings selling most of the day. Lunch stand and all day bake sale held at the Tri-County Auction Facility east of Arthur.

April 1: Come, listen, and relax to the music of the Gunny Sack Revue. Starts at 7 pm. This local group of musicians play bluegrass & Gospel. Bring an instrument and join in the weekly jam at the Gazebo Annex, downtown Arthur.

April 4: Otto Center Fish Fry. Serving from 11 am to 1 pm & 4 to 8 pm. Meal consists of batter dipped cod fillets, sweet rice, baked beans, applesauce, bread and choice of dessert. All day bake sale of fried pies, tea rings, cinnamon rolls, bread noodles, etc., ½ mile south of Arthur.

           County Line Standard-Bred Horse Sale. Driving begins at 7:30 am, 130 head of Standard Bred begin selling at 10 am; Tack Sale – 9:30 am. Breakfast Buffet served by Lake Fork School, from 6 to 9 am. All day lunch stand. Bring the family and enjoy the day! Arthur Sale Barn, ½ mile north of Arthur.

April 11: Community Easter Egg Hunt at 1 pm. Hunt is open to all children through 3rd grade. Sponsored by the Arthur Women's Club. Eberhardt Park, southwest edge of Arthur.

Auctioning new furniture, household items, quilts, etc. All day plant sale & all day bake sale. Ice cream stand & BBQ dinner at 4 pm, lunch stand opens at 5 pm. Co-sponsored by the Moultrie County Beacon & Amish Community.
